WOMEN WHO INSPIRE
DAY 12 – CARMEN DAVIDSON
Watercolor
I just love when Carmen comes for a visit and stays for a day or two. She has a very calming energy and has a loving ripple effect on everyone she is in contact with. Here is how Carmen changed my life and probably many other lives? Carmen may have started a few wonderful trends/lifestyle choice in my family, and big time in my personal life. The trends, or way of living I am referring to are, living Mindfully, meditation and eating natural foods (no processed foods), and yoga.
I observed her way of living and it had a huge impact on my life. It took a while for me to start practicing these ways on a regular basis, but I am so grateful to have followed through and try to practice every day. If I fall off the wagon, I can hear her gentle voice saying; “That’s ok, tomorrows another day, be kind to yourself, stay present and breath. You got this!”
I knew a little about all those things before but committing to the wellbeing of my body, mind and spirit was more difficult than I thought it would be. I had so many terrible habits I needed to break, and I know that old habits die hard. Carmen cultivated so much peace and love within me. I do consider her my sweet personal guru. As I began to practice these wonderful ways of living, I noticed that mindfulness, meditation, and creativity, all go hand-in-hand.
I soon understood that practicing mindfulness, meditating, stretching my body, and eating well helps improve my creative thinking, and that any commitment is challenging creative work. This way of living has helped me grow into a flowing state of awareness and consciousness. Thank you, Carmen, for everything you have taught me, for your friendship and for being such an important part of our lives. Many blessings! I wish I could have done a better job with your beautiful face in this painting, but as I mentioned this painting small thing is very challenging.
