Meet the artist…

Annalisa is an artist who has an enormous appreciation for nature and all living beings who live on this beautiful planet. Her central belief is that all beings, whether it is plant life, insects, reptiles, animals, or fungi, they are all an important part of contributing to life on earth. They are all as important as humans are.

She has a fascination with facial expressions from people and animals and tries to capture those expressions in her work. Seizing moments that convey raw passion and emotion in her subject is what she strives for while creating her art.

Annalisa enjoys working with different mediums such as Acrylics, Watercolor, and gouache. Recently her work has begun transformed by morphing her ideas with a little creative magic and imagination by using a combination of these main ingredients. The mixed-media approach to her work has become a welcoming change.

Annalisa is a Breast Cancer survivor, and during her journey with cancer, it taught her that she is stronger than she could ever have imagined and reminded her that time on this planet is limited. She quickly realized that now is the time to do whatever her heart desires. And like a warrior, she is utilizing her creative process to heal and be as authentic as she can.

Annalisa is incredibly grateful and feels very blessed to be able to work every day in her art studio space, which is nestled in a beautiful rural setting, surrounded by nature, and located in Ontario, Canada. Since the pandemic of 2020 changed how we all live, gathering with other creative souls in her studio has ended. Being part of a creative group is so inspiring and she is looking forward to re-opening the studio for the public for studio visits, art sales, creative art classes and workshops and more.
