Now that the pandemic is a little more under control, I would like to offer art classes and
other events to the public. It’s time to get out of the house and have some
creative in-person fun together don’t you think?
The studio will be open for scheduled visits for students beginning in June 2022 with covid-19 protocols in
place to protect everyone’s health and safety. If we can not meet in person, we
can continue with online classes. Please let me know how you all feel about
in-person classes versus online or video classes.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Annalisa enjoys drawing and painting portraits of people and animals and tries to capture those expressions in her work. Moments that convey raw passion and emotion in her subject are what call to her creative process.
She enjoys teaching what she knows in her creative art classes and loves to see her students engage with the medium of their choosing and grow in their artistic skills. Art is about connecting with your imagination and learning to be patient with yourself and the artwork during the process of creating.
Annalisa enjoys working with different mediums such as Acrylics, Watercolor, and gouache. Recently her work has begun to transform by morphing her ideas with a little creative magic and imagination by using a combination of these main ingredients. The mixed-media approach to her work has become a welcoming change.
Drawing is the backbone of almost every art discipline and a fundamental form of communication. This makes the ability to translate what the eye sees onto paper a valuable skill for all artists. Once your confidence in drawing improves, you may want to play with other awesome mediums to incorporate into your drawings.
THE STUDIO
The Studio is situated alongside a beautiful forest filled with nature’s inspiration. The drive to the studio will be fantastic, be sure you leave early to take in the scenic view as you make your way to your workshop through the Lanark Highlands. The studio is a small but cozy space which accommodates six participants comfortably. Smaller groups allow for a more personally meaningful experience. Check out more pictures of the studio HERE

MORNINGS CLASSES ARE FROM 10 am to 1 pm
AFTERNOON CLASSES ARE FROM 2 PM TO 5 PM
Each class is 3 hours in duration, which will include teaching and practice time. We will be exploring different mediums but the main one will be watercolour.

Any skill level is welcome to join these classes. Art is about finding patience and kindness in the creative process.
